Electric sloop 1-8 personsrent boat with steering wheel and cushion sets for 4 hours
Electric sloop
The electric sloop can be rented for 1-8 people. It is our most beautiful and comfortable boat. The seat and back cushions are very pleasant, especially for longer trips. In the front of the boat, the sloop is equipped with a round seat, so you can sit comfortably together. The skipper sits in the back of the boat and thus has a good overview of all passengers and, more importantly, of the water.
An electric sloop is equipped with a good set of batteries, with which you can sail all day. This way you can not only sail through Giethoorn centre, but also through Giethoorn-South and North. You can also sail across the lakes and through parts of Weerribben-Wieden National Park. It is also an option to moor the boat at the swimming island on the Bovenwijde. Here you can picnic and swim within the fence or in the lake. Always wear swimming shoes in the waters in and around Giethoorn. Curious about the possible sailing routes? Then take a look at the sailing route map that you will receive from us. Of course we will explain this to you before you sail. You will also receive sailing instructions from our employee.
A sloop or another boat?
Are you with more than 8 people? Then you can reserve two sloops through our booking system. If you are with less than 8 people, the demolition is still an excellent option. Do you prefer a different type of boat? Then take a look at the whisper boat for 1-6 people or the console boat. We have several boats of each type of boat in stock, so you will not quickly miss out if you book in time. During the summer holidays, weekends and national holidays such as Easter, Pentecost and Ascension, we are sometimes fully booked in summer weather. We therefore advise you to book at least a few weeks in advance. Are we sold out? Then take a look at our other website: Koppers Giethoorn.
How to handle the electric sloop
A steering console is located in the center of the back of the electric sloop. The skipper must sit directly behind the steering wheel in order to steer the boat properly. In principle, steering works the same as in the car: left is left and right is right. Steering should be done in small steps, otherwise you will swing. Once you have a straight course, try to turn the steering wheel as little as possible. Be aware that a boat reacts differently than a car. The speed can be variably controlled with a ‘throttle stick’. 0 (straight up) is neutral. If you then push the stick away from you, you go forward and if you pull the stick towards you, you go backward. You can easily ‘brake’ / slow down by moving the lever backwards. The further you push the stick down, the faster you go.
