In this privacy statement, Giethoorn Boating explains how we handle the personal data that we obtain in our contact with you. Giethoorn Boating complies with the provisions of the AVG (General Data Protection Regulation).

Collected Personal Data

We do our utmost to protect your data. We need personal data to guarantee our services to you. Giethoorn Boating processes this personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself.

Boat reservation Giethoorn processes data for the following purposes:

the provision and billing of our services;
sending our newsletters;
processing your order and informing you about its progress;
taking measures to improve the service and providing information or offers.

Minors

Giethoorn Boating does not intend to collect data from persons under the age of 18. We therefore do not provide services to minors. We advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us. We will then delete this information.

Security

When transferring data, we use the so-called SSL security system (Secure Socket Layer). All payment methods offered by us are extensively secured. You can see that your data is sent encrypted by the symbol of a key or closed lock in the status bar of your browser.

Website visit data

We receive data that we receive based on your visit to our website. Examples of this are cookies. We use this information to get a better picture of our customers and to develop and adapt our services and website to your personal preferences.

On the site we use Google Analytics to analyze the operation of the site and to measure the efficiency of traffic sources. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services. The information that Google has collected is anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address is expressly not provided.

Social sharing option

Our website includes buttons to promote (“like”) or share (“tweet”) web pages on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. These buttons work through pieces of code that come from Facebook respectively Twitter and LinkedIn themselves. Cookies are placed through this code. We have no influence on that. We periodically send a digital newsletter by e-mail to our customers and interested parties. We will only send this newsletter to people who have indicated that they want to receive the newsletter. An unsubscribe link is placed in every newsletter, so that the recipient can immediately unsubscribe. We only use the subscriber file for sending our own mailings.

Data retention period and access

As soon as the service at Giethoorn Boating ends, we store some data on the basis of the legal retention period. We delete data that is no longer needed. After the legal retention period, we destroy all data.

You have the right to inspect the data we have about you after your service with us has ended. You can submit a request for inspection, correction or deletion to the administration department. To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by yourself, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request, including relevant and up-to-date copies of the extract from the Chamber of Commerce of your company. We hereby request that you make your passport photo and citizen service number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. Boat reservations Giethoorn will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

Share with others

Giethoorn Boating only provides data to third parties and only if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

View and modify data

You have the right to request access to and correction or deletion of your data. You can contact our administration department for this. To prevent misuse, we will ask you to identify yourself adequately. When it comes to access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must also send a copy of the cookie in question. You can find this in the settings of your browser.
